Auditions are currently being held for a new all-women’s choir modeled on successful rehearsal and performance principles established by the founder over the last twenty-five years. This choir is a committed group of auditioned volunteers who desire to be the most accomplished women’s a cappella group in the area. For more information on auditions click here.

Our mission is to entertain audiences who love to experience the wide, soaring and precise sound of female voice harmony presented in a friendly and somewhat informal style. We achieve this primarily by presenting concerts featuring songs and anthems, mostly a cappella, some accompanied, of composers from the medieval period through contemporary times. Our concert programs spotlight works by contemporary composers, including commissioned professionals. Moreover, they showcase partnerships with distinguished artists in our region.
Our singers relate to each other as a community of sisters who love rehearsing and performing challenging SSAA harmonies. Relationships are cordial and respectful, and members are welcome to ask questions and offer suggestions about musical interpretation. Members are also encouraged to offer arrangements or compositions, including items of their own authorship, for consideration. The Artistic Director provides artistic leadership for the group, with advice from a standing Repertoire Committee. Performance and rehearsal commitments as well as the business activities are overseen and coordinated by the Founder/Artistic Director/General Manager, who values consensus among members and reports to the NHSLCM Board of Directors.
Our Accompianist Roburt Gajdos
Roburt Gajdos - M.A. (composition), College of New Jersey; B.A. (piano), University of the Arts
Roburt studied with Susan Starr, Joseph Schwartz, Mathilde McKinney, Edward Hatrak, and Dr. Eugene Copeland, and studied piano with Olga d’Stroumillo, an associate of Vladimir Horowitz, with an emphasis on the study of tone production.
His concert career has included performances for Delaware Valley College, New Jersey State Museum Concert Series, Trenton Cultural Center, Heritage Towers, Bucks County Community College, and Trenton Symphony. Roburt has performed works by composers Andrea Clearfield and Derek Bell with Philadelphia oboe virtuoso Rheta Smith, and has accompanied violin virtuoso Alexander Djokic as part of Duo Esterhazy in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Baltimore, New Hope, and Lambertville. Roburt has also collaborated on original works for art and piano at numerous art show openings and at an acclaimed exhibit at the Trenton Cultural Center
Roburt is the accompanist for the new Women’s Choir, New Hope-Solebury & Lambertville Community Choir, and the Abington Choral Club. He is the pianist for St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in New Hope. For many years he taught piano and was the accompanist for the Hellyer Performing Arts Center and recently served for several years as the accompanist for Cordus Mundi.
