Saturday Salons are designed to promote casual community singing and playing while providing local musicians, singers, and songwriters with a creative outlet for their music.

Utilizing Pete Seeger, Joe Cocker/Mad Dogs, Mr. Rick’s Living Room, and hootenanny archetypes/templates, Saturday Salons are designed to create a modified y’all come event for rock and folk-based singers and players. Invitees will be furnished with chords and words for a finite number of songs (6 - 10) which will serve as the basis for each session. Chords and words will be provided in advance and will also be available on-site. During the session, each song will be played, sung, instrumental & vocal parts worked out, harmonizations created, etc. all in realtime. When it is time to move onto the next song or if one “scheduled” song leads to something unscheduled, so be it - we’ll go where it goes.

Salons will meet regularly beginning in the fall of 2026. Participation from both the music and general communities is encouraged.
