Mr. Rick  - Rick Rosen, aka Mr. Rick, is the Founder/Artistic Director of the New Hope-Solebury & Lambertville Community Choir and the new women’s choir. He has an extensive background as a choral singer, conductor, composer and creative consultant in a variety of music-related fields.

Rick is the former Minister of Music at Church of Messiah/Episcopal in Lower Gwynedd, PA, and was the Founder/Artistic Director of male a cappella group Cordus Mundi. He sang (and was a vocal section leader) for several years in Bucks County Choral Society and in the Bucks County Motet Singers.

Prior to his return to his native Pennsylvania, Rick served as the Director of Music at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Burlingame, CA. His California vocal performance career includes work as the founder of the original six-man west coast-based version of Cordus Mundi, as well as an extended singing stint with the San Francisco Concert Chorale, where he served as men's section leader and president of the executive committee. During his tenure as SFCC president, the group recorded two CDs, and toured Mexico and France. Rick has studied with a variety of teachers, conductors and composers, including A. Alan Apple, James Shollenberger, Rene Clausen, Anton Armstrong, Patty Hennings, and Blanche Honegger-Moyse.

In addition to his choral duties Mr. Rick can often be found teaching guitar, songwriting, and music history classes both privately and at multiple Bucks County-area public venues. Of his career choice, he says, “I was fortunate to grow up in a family where there was always all kinds of music on the record player, and as soon as it became clear that playing for the Philadelphia Phillies probably wasn’t going to happen, it pretty much became all about the music - piano lessons, guitar lessons, rock bands, jazz bands, working in record stores where I could hear EVERYTHING, and on & on. As is often the case with musicians, it can take more than one job to make a living, and so my “parallel career” included extensive work in the musical instrument industry in sales, marketing, and artist relations for several musical instrument companies as an employee or in a consultant capacity. The common ground/uniting force in all of this is that it has pretty much always been about the music.”
